U-8 Racing Team supports the Armed Services
Dubbed the ‘Rocketeers’, the 336th Fighter Squadron utilizes the Boeing F-15E “Strike Eagle”, a state-of–the-art, all-weather fighter-bomber. Based out of Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina, the ‘Rocketeers’ are currently deployed overseas in support of Operation Southern Watch and Operation Iraqi Freedom. U-8 Racing Team crewmember Brad Haskin, a former Navy pilot and Gulf veteran, has a brother flying now with the 336th. “I’ve been over there myself, and I completely understand what they are going through. It’s not about whether you are for or against what’s going on in the world—it’s understanding that freedom is never free, and letting our troops know that we support them We just want everyone to take care of business and come home safely”. Although the U-8 Racing Team carry only the colors of the Air Force 336th Squadron, it is done in the spirit of honoring all of our Armed Forces --Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and reserve units. | |
